| Rene Chavez goes by the name “MADE” which comes from the latin word “hecho” refering from the popular phrase “hecho en Mexico” (made in Mexico). "Im a local graffiti artist, i have been painting for 10 years now and most of my influence comes from my hometown, Mexico City."  Growing up in a middle-class family as a teen in the Coachella Valley, Rene always used public transportation and thats where he saw his first taggs. Rene says, "I always liked the form of lettering and coming from the biggest city of the world (it) wasn't new to me so I decided to put my mark on the map...always thinking of pushing myself to become an urban artist and not just a vandal." Rene "Made" Chavez has been working hard to build up his name. "I'm barely getting started since I still have years to come. I'm always open to learn new ways and methods to paint using anything to get the full effect on my canvas." |
