 Abe Alvarez Tostado was born in Lynwood, but grew up in Long Beach, CA. Since high school he had lived in San Diego, Palm Desert, and San Francisco. He is a self-taught artist with many different inspirations including Marvel comic books, Skateboard Art of the 80’s (Mark Gonzales, Niel Blender, and Lance Mountain), and a lot of my Mothers art books (Picasso, Paul Klee, and Dal)."I am also influenced a lot by artists that I have had shows with including Doze, P-Nut, and Maya Hayuk." Abe's art was born during the Pop Surrealist Movement of the 90s in San Francisco where he lived and developed as an artist. |
