SURREAL VISIONS VIRTUAL EXHIBITION
Artist Alan Kocharian was born December 4, 1989 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. His mother was only 20 when she found she was with a child and abandoned by Alan's biological father. A man that showed no interest in meeting his son, raised and respected by his step-father, Alan has chosen his last name, what was once a tragedy became his influence. Though apprehensive and inverted in person, the artist openly shares his ideas through his creations. Alan attended OTIS college of Art & Design where he graduated in 2013. Shortly after, his work has been exhibited from Los Angeles, California to Tokyo, Japan. Alan Kocharian's work has manifested in sadness, life, love, and his inner desires. Darkness, adorned through his chosen subject matter juxtaposed with bursts of bright vivid colors, offers a flush of new growth after a savage fire.
